I'm Heather — helping women see that through Christ, our mess leads to our holiness.

Meet Heather

In this episode of the Holy Hot Mess Podcast, host Heather interviews Felicia Morisette, exploring her unique journey from being a lukewarm Catholic to a worship leader at Bethel Church and eventually returning to the traditional Catholic faith. The conversation delves into the impact of a YouTube video by Fr. Chad on the Rightly Ordered Family, discussing the importance of biblical principles and roles in family life.

Felisha lives in North Carolina with her husband and 3 children, whom she homeschools. She was a Catholic Church raised kiddo by her grandmother until she started having panic attacks in mass. Through a beautiful journey of faith that took her through the Ministry School at Bethel in Redding, California she met her husband and eventually reverted back to the fullness of Catholicism.

After sharing her faith story, Felisha and I dive into our current, ongoing journeys towards biblical submission to both our Heavenly Father and our husbands (even when our husbands don’t *deserve* it). Our convo is raw, real, full of good nuggets to take with you on your faith journey.

Heather and Felicia also share their personal experiences with biblical submission, emphasizing that it’s not about inferiority or being a doormat but rather embracing God-given roles within marriage. They highlight the freedom and strength found in surrendering control, allowing their husbands to step into their roles confidently. The episode encourages listeners to approach these concepts with an open heart, trust in God’s design, and embrace the beauty of biblical principles in their own faith and family journeys.
